Logon to OptionsXpress Click the Trade tab at the top of the page Click the Covered Calls link Proceed to Step 2 on the right »» Help me find a brokerage account Covered Call Order Screen Enter the stock symbol with a buy action. Enter the option symbol with a period at the beginning and a Sell to Open action. Covered Call Order Screen Enter the number of shares of stock to trade in multiples of 100 the number of contracts to trade. Enter the number of contracts to trade. Covered Call Order Screen Select price as Market, duration as Day Order and advanced orders as None. Click the 'Preview Order' button. Review your order for accuracy and click 'Place Order'. Verify trade successfully executed on order status page.
