Rolling Options Tutorial
 
This tutorial explains how to roll an option position with optionsXpress. The following steps will guide you through the process:
 
Rolling Options Positions in optionsXpress Account
 
1. After logging into your optionsXpress account, you will see the following (or something similar):
 
 
2. Select “Account”
 
 
3. Select "Positions"
 
 

4. Select "Roll" for the position desiring to roll
 
 
5. Enter a "period" and the new option desiring to roll to and the desired quantity to trade. For a credit order select Limit/Credit* and enter the desired credit amount. For a debit order select Limit/Debit* and enter the desired debit amount.
 
 
6. Select "Preview Order"
 
 
7. Select "Place Order"
 
 
8. Select “Check Order Status”
 
 
9. Verify trade filled or select "Modify", "Cancel" or "Trade" as needed
